A lady fell off a Carnival Cruise Line ship balcony and into the Pacific Ocean early Saturday, spurring a world search effort.
The incident, which occurred shortly after 3 a.m. aboard a Carnival Miracle ship close to Ensenada, Mexico, was captured on safety video, the U.S. Coast Guard stated. Passengers have been notified shortly after, stated Josh Zufelt, a passenger.
The ship got here to a near-complete cease round 3:30 a.m. as crew members dropped a lifeboat into the water, Zufelt stated.
Coast Guard crews are working with members of the Mexican navy to seek out the girl, who gave the impression to be in her 20s.
Carnival Cruise Line stated the ship was launched after having assisted with the search and continued on to Ensenada, a few 90-minute drive from the U.S. border.
